Q & A
Attendance, as taken during the regular, in-person, school year, has ceased for the 19-20 school year. During this remote learning phase, GBCS is tracking student contact on a weekly basis. For any school using Jupiter to track student contact/no contact, that information is being recorded by teachers in their Jupiter grade book for recordkeeping.
To assist parents/students with tracking student progress, Jupiter attendance has been temporarily enabled for all schools using it to track student weekly contact as of April 17, 2020. Through the end of the school year, attendance will be an option on the left-hand side when logging into a Jupiter student or parent account. By clicking on "Attendance" you will see the weekly record of "No Contact" for your student by the hour or teacher depending on grade level*.
If a student is marked as having contact with their teacher that does not show up in "Attendance"; only recorded instances of "No contact" are viewable.
Please be aware that any attendance recorded in Jupiter prior to March 13, 2020, may be inaccurate. To see the correct attendance record for your student from the start of the school year through March 12th, or for previous school years, please log into Synergy ParentVue at http://tinyurl.com/gbpvue.
Per Governor Whitmer's Executive Order 2020-35 all "in-person education" has been suspended for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.
Please see the district's Continuity of Learning Plan for information on how GBCS will be conducting online/virtual learning for the remainder of the 19-20 school year.
