I live in Grand Blanc with my husband who also works for Grand Blanc Schools and we have two adult daughters.  I enrolled in the PAT program as a parent with my daughter, Elizabeth, when the program began in Grand Blanc in 1990.  I also participated with my second daughter, Lauren, after she was born.  I became a parent educator in 2000.  In my free time, I enjoy reading and going to the beach.

My name is Brianne Elston, but most of the children call me Miss Bri.  I live in Grand Blanc with my husband, 2 daughters and a house full of animals.  I enjoy spending time with my family, sewing, and doing Crossfit.  I am a Certified Child Passenger Safety technician and love to help families keep their little ones safe while on the road.  I have been a parent educator since 2018, and was a participant in the program prior to that.

Hello Families!  I am so thrilled to join the Parent Educator team here in Grand Blanc.  I have spent the last seven years in the classroom as a preschool teacher, serving on an advisory committtee, and mentoring in the Early Childhood field.  I look forward to meeting all of our families, whether in our Lit Bits class or during home visits.  I enjoy traveling with my husband and two boys.  I'm an avid sports fan, especially attending Detroit Tigers' games.  I love to teach my boys life skills, such as cooking, baking, using tools, and how to help others.

Hello. So glad you're interested in Parents As Teachers. I've been involved with the program since my son was a baby and continued to volunteer after my son was school age.  In my previous career I worked in social services in a convalescent home for nineteen years.  I have a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of Michigan Flint, where I majored in social work and sociology.  It was while I was pregnant and working at the convalescent center that one of my coworkers  told me about Parents As Teachers and that I needed to enroll in the program...and she was right. So who would have guessed that years later families are providing me the honor and the privelege to provide support and resources to them on this journey. Life, like parenthood, isn't always what you expect.

I am excited to be working with Parents As Teachers and love working with all of our families.  I was born and raised in Michigan.  After receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Logistics Mangement from CMU, I moved to Kentucky where I lived for 5 years.  After missing the Great Lakes State, I moved back and continued to work in the logisitics field for another 12 years and earned a master's degree in Leadership form CMU.  This is my 2nd year working in early childhood and teaching early literacy classess, which I love!  I met my husband, David after college.  We have 2 children, both attending Myers Elementary.  In my free time I like to hang out with familiy and friends, spend time up north, and have fun playing with my kids!

Hello!  I love being a part of the Early Childhood programs here in the Grand Blanc Schools system.  I had a career in rehabilitation medicine and decided to open an inhome daycare once my children were born.  After I lost my husband and my kids were school age, I decided to join the Parents As Teachers team as a parent educator.  I then took on the role as the Parents As Teachers coordinator three years later and now I coordinate the Great Start Readiness Program as well.  I have a bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreaction, a master's degree in organizational leadership and a second master's degree in child and adolescent development.

I believe the early childhood team in Grand Blanc schools are the best and I couldn't work with a more dedicated and caring group of people.
