• COVID-19 Isolation/Quarantine Requirements: 

    The student is positive for COVID-19 – must isolate for 10 days after symptoms start. There are no other options.


    The student is exposed (close contact) to a positive case at school with masks

    Exposure within 3 feet of a positive case during the contagious period for an accumulation of 15 minutes:

    10 days in quarantine, staying home

    OR

    7-day testing option: If the student takes a rapid antigen test daily before school (same day) and provides results to their building office daily, they can continue to attend school as long as they have no symptoms and have negative tests 


    The student is exposed outside of school or without masks (lunch, friend’s house, at home, etc)

    Exposure within 6 feet of a positive case during the contagious period for an accumulation of 15 minutes

    10 days in quarantine, staying home

    OR

    7 days after exposure, the exposed student may opt to get a PCR test on the 7th day.
    If it's negative, they can provide results to their building office and return to school.

    *Exception: If you live with a positive case the quarantine period could be up to 20 days.

     

    Symptoms/Illness:

    Symptoms of COVID-19 are:

    ONE of the Following: 

    • Atypical cough
    • Atypical shortness of breath
    • A temperature of 100F or higher
    • New loss of taste or smell 

    OR TWO of the following:

    • Chills/repeated shaking
    • Muscle pain
    • Sore throat
    • New onset of severe headache
    • Diarrhea, vomiting or abdominal pain
    • Congestion or runny nose

    Must stay home until

    • negative PCR test 
    • or alternative diagnosis from a doctor
    • or stay home 10 days from illness onset if no testing
