Grand Blanc Community Schools follows the Genesee County Health Department COVID-19 recommendations that are consistent with current CDC guidance:

As of Monday, September 25, 2023, the following recommendations apply. If an individual: 

• Tests POSITIVE for COVID – notify your building office
  • Notify your building with the date symptoms started
  • District Nurse Consultants will provide recommendations via email
  • The recommendation is to isolate for 5 days (the date symptoms start is day 0) and return with a mask from day 6 to day 10.
• Live with a positive case – it is recommended to mask for 10 days and test on day 5
• Experiencing COVID symptoms and have a KNOWN exposure to a POSITIVE case –
  • Considered a Probable Case
  • Notify the building office with the date symptoms started 
  • District Nurse Consultants will provide recommendations via email
  • The recommendation is to isolate for 5 days (the date symptoms start is day 0) and return with wear a mask from day 6 to day10.
  • If a Negative Test at Home – recommendation is to go receive a PCR COVID Test
