Ms. Joan Robertson

My teaching career started in the summer of 1977 at Clarkston Scamp, an 8-10 week camp for the handicapped. It truly changed my life.

I honed my craft in Clarkston Schools for 6 years.   During that time, I married my amazing husband (Mr. Bob) and had a son, Ryan!  These events also changed my life!

Born and raised in Waterford, my husband and I decided to move to Grand Blanc in 1992.

After the birth of our daughter, Molly, I was able to stay home for 7 years and be a full time parent.  Life changing event, for sure!

I began volunteering in GB schools as soon as Ryan started preschool at Perry Center.   This led to substitute teaching and a then a full time job in 2001.

I've worked at Indian Hill, McGrath, Brendel, and am currently at the High School.

I have the best job in the district and I work with the most amazing paraprofessional, Kay Fritzsching!

We laugh every single day and my students are delightful....unless they are giving me gray hairs!  LOL

I am now a grandparent to the adorable Faye Frances Cruzen, born May 12, 2018!     A most memorable life changing event!

My hobbies include reading, RVing, film festivals, and yoga.
