Opening Day for Teachers and Staff at Grand Blanc Community Schools!

  • On Monday, August 26th, the entire staff of nearly a thousand GBCS employees gathered to start the 2019-20 school year.

The theme was POSSIBILITIES as Superintendent Garner and Deputy Superintendent Alward introduced new staff, congratulated those celebrating 20 years at GBCS, and announced administrative changes that have taken place.

Lori Jackson, formerly a student advisor at the high school, will now be an assistant principal at GBHS. She fills the space left by Allyson Walroth who has moved into an Assistant Curriculum Director (Secondary Curriculum) position for the district. Duane Engleman will take over for Jeremy Mitchell at Indian Hill as Mr. Mitchell transitions over to McGrath Elementary.

They are all very excited to begin their new roles, as teachers and staff prepare to welcome back our Bobcats next week! Enjoy your last days of summer, students! This year is full of POSSIBiLITIES!
