Mr. Andrew Bunker
Hello Bobcats! My name is Andy Bunker, and I too am a Bobcat. In 1993, I graduated from Grand Blanc High School. On the way, I attended Cook and Brendel Elementary Schools and the one and only Grand Blanc Middle School. After earning my Bachelors of Science in Biology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, I briefly attended Michigan State University to work on Ph.D. in Zoology. Although I am a Wolverine for life, I am grateful to MSU for helping me realize that I liked teaching more than doing research. I abandoned my research project at MSU and decided to return to U of M to earn my Masters in Education and teaching certificate. Since 2002, I have been teaching sixth grade science in Grand Blanc. I love working with sixth graders! My two goals for each student in my class are:
- to leave my room loving science
- to become a better thinker
Outside of the classroom, I am a husband to Kelli Bunker (8th grade math teacher on Team 7) and a father to Hannah, Teddy, and Charlotte. In my spare time, I like to read, watch movies, research family history, and play chauffeur for my kids.
