Mrs. Hardimon
I have been teaching in Grand Blanc Community Schools since 2006. I taught multiage classes ranging from 1st to 3rd for 12 years at City School in the Perry Center. I then moved to a straight 3rd grade in 2017 at Perry Innovation Center and continue with that to the present time. I, like the students, change over time and I am excited to be at PIC and to be in a learning environment that promotes growth mindset. I truly believe we all learn from exploring, making mistakes and perservering. Everyday is a new day to try again!
A little about me...I am married to a great guy, Shaun Hardimon. He works at Plante & Moran, LLC and is a fantastic father. We have a beautiful and energetic daughter, Abby, and she started in the Grand Blanc Schools in 2018-19. She attends Indian Hill Elementary. To round out our family, we have a funny cat, Jack and we all adore him! We live in Swartz Creek, Michigan.
I earned my high school diploma from Sturgis High School over on the southwest side of Michigan. I received my Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Psychology from Schreiner University (Kerrville, TX). I worked in Texas for a couple of years and then ventured off to Buenos Aires, Argentina for a year and taught American English to business people. After returning, I worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) for several years. I felt pulled toward teaching so returned to school and earned my Masters in Teaching from U of M - Flint.
I am proud of the family I come from, and I am proud of the family we have formed. I am surrounded by great friends and have a terrific support system. I enjoy spending time with all these people in my life and give gratitude to God each and everyday for what I have and who I have in my life.
To add, I feel truly blessed to get the opportunity to work with young students, share in their families and to experience up close and personal their exploration of learning and to guide them in experiences that will encourage their growth.
I am a talker and a fairly open person. If you have questions or wonders, please ask!
