Degrees and Certifications:
My journey to becoming a teacher began just as I sent my oldest son, Adam. off to college. With the help of my daughter, Hannah, who was in high school at the time, I managed to face the challenges of algebra, technology and entering college late in life. I graduated from the University of Michigan, Flint in 2004, and have since completed a masters in reading at Oakland University. I entered the wonderful world of middle school in the fall of 2005.
Adam is now a professor in Chicago and Hannah serves as a behavior consultant at Hamilton Schools. My husband travels the country as an over the road truck driver. That leaves me at home to meet the needs of our 2, rather spoiled, furry children.
