    East Middle School Family,

I hope you are all well and staying safe.

    Attached to this announcement are:
    1. Procedures for communicating and making connections during this time.
    2. End of the Year Grading/Credit Options
    3. Video link of the Continuity of Learning overview:

These remote learning resources were developed at the district level with input from the curriculum department, teacher leaders, administration and our school board members. The video is approximately 25 minutes and consists of an overall message from Superintendent Garner and then followed with an elementary message from Curriculum Director, Amber Hall, a middle school message from Secondary Assistant Curriculum Director, Allyson Walroth and a high school message from GBHS principal, Michael Fray.

If you have questions about your student's specific progress please contact the classroom teacher or your student's counselor, Mr. Sokoloski (Last names A-K) or Mrs. LaFleur (Last names L-Z) for a prompt response. If your child or family is in need of additonal resources please contact our counselors or Miranda Heemsoth, student advisor. East Middle School's Weekly Playlist and Staff Office Hours are posted on our website under Quick Links.

The social emotional well being of our students is as important as their academic learning. We understand that each child and family are dealing with a wide range of circumstances. We are giving our sincerest effort to address these needs as best we can.

Thank you for your continued support. Please stay safe and healthy.

    Sincerely,
    Jodi Kruse, Principal

  • Because citizenship is an important part of the development of the whole child, each marking period students will earn a citizenship grade on his/her report card.  This rubric outlines the factors that we consider when determining a child’s citizenship grade. The goal is for students to be in the “Meets Expectations” category overall.  Students must earn a 3 or a 4 to be on the honor roll. To be eligible for sports, students must earn a 2, 3, or 4.

    Non-Academic Rubric
