Early Childhood in Grand Blanc

Bobcat Innovation provides online learning for students K-12, Hybrid learning for grades 2-5, and in-person STEAM learning for grades 2-8 at the Perry Center.

Bobcat Innovation manages CSS online courses (more below) and all online courses taken by GBCS students. The lab and offices are located in the west campus of GBHS. Zachary Hamilton is the Bobcat Innovation Director located at Perry Center, and Kevin Keilitz is the Asst. Director, located at GBHS.

Bobcat Innovation at Grand Blanc Community Schools

Grand Blanc Community Schools strives to prepare our students to be career- or college-ready upon high school graduation. Career & Technical Education (CTE) is one of the avenues that we offer to provide our students with the skills and experience necessary for a successful transition into post-secondary education or the world of work.

Grand Blanc CTE offers a wide variety of industry-based program experiences with specific job skills training that gives our students a distinct advantage when entering the workforce or preparing for their future careers through colleges/universities.

Career & Technical Education at GBHS

Eligible sophomores with a 3.0 GPA or higher receive a letter about application for Grand Blanc Early College in late fall for the following year. GBEC is a partnership with the University of Michigan-Flint that has been in place since 2015. Students who choose to participate in this unique opportunity will commit to a five year high school and college experience.

The Center for Student Success (CSS) is a credit recovery program for Grand Blanc High School students that are behind in credits in their academic career. Students are given class periods to do "catch-up" work in online courses, in addition to spending the remainder of their day in traditional classes. Additional support is also provided to students by teachers and counselors.

Services to assist students free of charge vary by building. Please consult with your building office, student liaison, or counseling office for details. For instance, GBHS National Honor Society Students offer free assistance during specific hours after school and during lunch.
