A fundraising form needs to be completed for all fundraisers (Internal and External). No fundraising (including raffles) can occur until your group is sanctioned and Fundraising Forms are submitted for Board approval. Submit at least one week before the next board meeting or workshop. There is a limit of (3) External Fundraisers per school year.
External vs. Internal: An External Fundraiser will ask for money from community members outside the school building; neighbors, non-immediate family, and friends. Examples of these might be discount card sales, flower sales, Vertical Raise donations, etc. [Dine-to-donate at restaurants and activity nights where the money raised comes from customers during a certain time frame do not count against those three but Fundraising Forms must still be submitted.]
An Internal Fundraiser only seeks money from those attached to the building. Examples might be Book Fairs, bake sales, or school dances. If you aren’t sure if a fundraiser is Internal or External, please call the Business Office to inquire.
Your beginning fundraiser date must be a date after the Board meets to review. Please refer to the GBCS Board of Education calendar for meeting dates.
