Email & Google Two Factor for Staff

To setup Google two-factor authentication for NEW STAFF...

-From a desktop/laptop:

Open Chrome browser and sign in with your GB email and password. It will prompt you to enroll in two – factor authentication. Click Enroll and follow steps to set it up.

-From a Chromebook:

Sign into chromebook with GB email and password and open Chrome browser. Click your first initial at top right of screen and Manage your Google Account. On next page, click Security on left side of the screen. Under How you sign into Google, click on 2 – Step Verification and follow steps to set it up.

To setup Google two-factor authentication for EXISTING STAFF...

-From a desktop/laptop/Chromebook:

Sign into device and open Chrome browser. Click your first initial at top right of screen and Manage your Google Account. On next page, click Security on left side of the screen. Under How you sign into Google, click on 2 – Step Verification and follow steps to set it up.

Once setup, you will use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone whenever the additional two-factor authentication is needed.

• On a computer, sign into staff email on GB website
• Click profile icon at top right and view account
• On security info tile click update info
• Click add sign in method
• Select authenticator app from drop down menu and add
• Click next until it shows the QR code
• On phone open app store (iPhone) or play store (Android)
• Search for and install the Microsoft Authenticator app and install it

 

 

• Click through until you get to the add account screen
• Select Scan QR code and scan the code on your webmail
• Finish going through set up wizard on webmail to complete the set up

Once setup, you will use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your Chromebook whenever the additional two-factor authentication is needed.

• On a computer, sign into staff email on GB website

• Click next until it shows the QR code and click can’t scan image
• Install and open play store on chromebook

 

• Open Microsoft authenticator app
• Click add account, work or school account, scan QR code. It will open camera app
• Click Or Enter Code Manually
• Go back to your webmail on computer and enter the numerical code and URL listed at the bottom of the window and finish
• Go back to webmail and finish the set up wizard on your computer
