FCC Launches the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) to Assist Eligible Families with Getting & Staying Connected!
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) had established a temporary program to help families and households struggling to afford Internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic called the Emergency Broadband Benefit. It helped almost 9 million people afford internet access during the pandemic.
The FCC has now discontinued that temporary program in favor of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP.)
Eligible households can now enroll or transfer over to this program if they were enrolled in the previous temporary program.
You can learn more about the benefits, including eligibility and enrollment information, by visiting https://acpbenefit.org/ or by calling (877) 384-2575 or emailing ACPSupport@usac.org
