Over 100 Students Inducted into NHS at GBHS on May 4, 2023!

Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character are the 4 pillars represented in the NHS logo, and they are used as the selection standard for students to be invited into the National Honor Society (NHS) at Grand Blanc High School.

In addition to having a grade point average (GPA) of 3.8 or above in high school so far, students must demonstrate their dedication to helping their community through 30 hours per year of community service, show leadership through involvement in school and community, and maintain good character throughout high school. Due to these requirements, students are not invited to join the NHS until at least the 4th quarter of their sophomore year.

On Thursday, May 4, 106 students from GBHS were inducted into the NHS at a breakfast in the cafeteria. 14 juniors and 92 sophomores were presented with certificates of induction, and names were announced to a room full of family and friends. Current NHS members assisted NHS advisors Mrs. Reik and Mrs. Kenney with hosting the event.

Congratulations to these hard-working scholars! We are proud to celebrate not only your achievement of academic excellence - but your commitment to your school and community. Great job, GBHS Bobcats!
