GBCS Choirs Receive Amazing Scores at State Competition!

The Grand Blanc High School Chorale, Girls' Glee, and West Middle School 7/8 choir sang at the Michigan School Vocal Music Association State Choral Festival at Central Michigan University!

Both choirs received a Division 1 rating!!!

Chorale had the honor of getting a PERFECT 90/90 score. This is an incredible feat, and something that will set the gold standard for all Chorale groups after them! They were complemented on both their musicianship and their “swagger”. Their score was the best score of the day.

Girls' Glee, despite only having 14 students, was able to get a Division 1 rating, which is a huge deal for such a small group! Their music was sung with such passion and beauty. Girls' Glee scored the second-highest score all day!

The Grand Blanc West Middle School choir did an outstanding job, and while they didn’t get a score (Middle School choirs don’t get a score at state competition), they performed amazingly and were applauded for their hard work and dedication to music and craft.

Congratulations to all!

They were outstanding ambassadors for our school, community, and choirs everywhere.
Go Bobcats! Bravo!
