Collaboration will bring live music, movies, food trucks and more to school campus!

 
 
This summer will welcome several fun events to Downtown Grand Blanc, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the City, Township, Chamber of Commerce, and school district.

The Grand Blanc Family Fun Fest will return to the lower GBHS parking lot this year from June 13 - 16th, 2024! For security reasons, the festival will be limited to one entry point where a $5 entry fee will be collected for those over age 10 (a $5 off rides coupon will be issued). Minors must be accompanied by an adult after 7 PM - NO Exceptions. Festivities will end slightly earlier than in years past.

Thursday, June 13th: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Friday, June 14th: 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
(1st ride session 12 pm-5 pm, 2nd ride session 4 pm-8 pm)
Saturday, June 15th: 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
(1st ride session 12 pm-5 pm, 2nd ride session 4 pm-8 pm)
Sunday, June 16th: 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Join us at the carnival for rides, games, food, entertainment, face painting, and lots of laughs for the whole family!


 

Grand Blanc Block Party will be a series of four Thursday nights of FREE community fun over the summer months! Residents are invited to enjoy free local live bands and a family-friendly movie on the school campus on those nights. Families may also choose to purchase dinner from a variety of food trucks. Live bands will begin performing at 5:30 PM. The large scoreboard in the new Don Batchelor stadium at the Grand Blanc Athletic Complex (GBAC) will show movies starting at 7:30 PM. A Charity Cornhole Tournament will be taking place on the band practice field behind the GBAC. GB Parks and Recreation and the GB Arts Council will also be onsite.

  1. The first Grand Blanc Block Party Thursday night event will be June 27th with a Car Cruise! 
    The John Vance Band will provide live music and the animated movie Cars will be shown outdoors on the big screen.
  2. July 11th the theme will be USA! with the band Still Rain performing. Get another wear out of your Independence Day outfits and enjoy Top Gun as the featured movie at 7:30 PM.
  3. The next event will be July 25th, when attendees are encouraged to wear your most royal Prince and Princess costumes to be entertained by Rachelle Rae and view Disney's The Princess and the Frog.
  4. August 8th we'll be rocking out 80's style with The Rock Show and viewing The Goonies.
    Neon jewelry, bright lipstick, big hair and leg warmers will be celebrated!

For these GB Block Party events, attendees may choose to sit in the existing stands or bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on the turf field. All Grand Blanc Block Party activities should wrap up around 9:00 PM. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Additionally, the Grand Blanc Chamber of Commerce is planning a LIVE concert at the athletic facility on July 20th

Tickets for the July Summer Jam with Kolby Oakley in Concert! will be $10 per person and will include live music by the John Vance Band starting at 6:00 PM and featuring Kolby Oakley, country music's newest up-and-comer! Oakley is expected to take the stage at 7:30 PM. Concert-goers can purchase tickets online at https://grandblancmi.chambermaster.com/eventregistration/register/5341 or at the gate. Gates will open at 5:00 PM.

The local Scream'n Rebels will do a flyover to honor our local Veterans. Veterans will also receive FREE entry to the concert by presenting their ID. Food trucks will be available at this event and chairs and blankets are welcome to be used on the turf field in addition to seating in the stands.

During these events, the Brendel Elementary and Perry parking lots will be reserved for vendors and special parking, so attendees should plan to park in one of the Grand Blanc High School parking lots.

No weapons, smoking, vaping, alcohol or drugs are allowed on school property at these, or any events. Security will be provided by a combination of the Grand Blanc City and Township Police and other local authorities and may include metal detectors and Police K9 presence. Please - no chewing gum on the turf surfaces.
