GBCS Employees Getting a "Piece of the PIE" for Their Buildings

Many of our GBCS buildings have chosen to participate in the “Partners In Education” (PIE) program with Horace Mann - Maksymowski Insurance. The local company has promised a $25 donation per employee who requests a quote for one of their products during a certain time frame to each building participating. The agency kicks off the building’s designated PIE program by delivering actual delicious pies made by the popular and local Crust bakery. Dates for qualifying submissions are chosen by the building leader. So far, Grand Blanc school employees have already earned over $2000 from this unique fundraising opportunity. “Big” checks have already been delivered to Anderson, McGrath, Reid, and West Middle School.

Maksymowski Insurance knows that this has been a tough year for schools. School budgets are always tight and allow for very little discretionary spending. This program is giving building leaders the opportunity to support their students and/or staff in a new and exciting way of their choosing. It also gives Maksymowski and Horace Mann (a company founded by educators - for educators) the opportunity to save school employees money on their auto, home, and life insurance, retirement, and other products with discounts Maksymowski offers.

Employees who voluntarily participate are under no obligation to purchase anything. They may choose to take advantage of a no-strings-attached quote. Even Grand Blanc’s administration building has gotten involved! School buildings that are currently participating, or plan to participate in the future are Brendel, Central Office, Grand Blanc High School, EMS, PIC, and Myers.

We appreciate our partnerships with local business owners like Bobby Maksymowski. His company’s dedication to our educators and students has supported many initiatives at Grand Blanc Schools. More on Maksymowski Insurance can be found here.
