GBHS Summer Credit Recovery Courses
The Summer Credit Recovery Program is designed to allow students to earn credits they have failed to obtain for various reasons. It is not designed, and will not be used for, acceleration toward graduation. Students who are not behind in credits may not enroll in the Credit Recovery Program.
Credit Recovery courses are 100% online and require a commitment to the course content to succeed (except Special Education courses.) Students are expected to participate daily, or at minimum, weekly. A word of wisdom: If you believe you can complete the course in 2 weeks, make it the first two weeks of the summer program, not the last two weeks. It is easy to procrastinate; remain dedicated to your commitment and work diligently to complete the course accurately and efficiently.
You may take as many credit recovery courses as you can complete; however, all courses must be completed within the summer program timelines.

ONLINE Core & Elective - APEX - 6 Weeks
Credit Recovery
Open to CURRENT high school students in grades 9-11.
COURSE FEE:
$130.00 per course (Free & Reduced: $57)
- One credit recovery course can be taken at a time.
- Registration Ends 6/28/24.
- Courses begin 6/17/24 or 3 to 5 days after approval of registration.
- Courses finished and submitted by 7/26/24 (underclassmen only.)
All summer school courses must be completed, graded out, and grades submitted to the registrar by 7/26/24. Instructors will provide deadlines for individual course assignments and submission deadlines.

COURSE FEE:
Course Fee: $130.00 per course (Free & Reduced: $57)
- Registration begins 5/1/2024 and ends 5/24/24.
- Courses begin 5/13/2024 or 3 to 5 days after approval of registration.
- Course completion deadline is 6/21/24. (2023-24 seniors only.)
Instructors will provide deadlines for individual course assignments and submission deadlines.

In-Person APEX - 12 Days
Open to CURRENT high school students in grades 9-11.
COURSE FEE:
$130.00 (Free & Reduced: $57)
- Registration ends 6/17/24.
- Courses will begin 6/14/24, and must be completed by 7/1/24.
- Daily weekday participation is required from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
- Send email to bjackson@gbcs.org to register or you can register through ParentVue.
Instructors will provide deadlines for individual course assignments and submission deadlines.
All Summer programming ends July 26, 2024.
GENERAL COURSE INFORMATION
- Maximum of 2 Advanced Credit Courses per summer; No limit on Credit Recovery
- All Courses will be reported on student transcripts: Pass = A thru D-, Fail or Incomplete = E
- No refunds will be granted
- Student/family identify interest in summer school and register through ParentVue/Synergy; Advanced Credit classes are self-selected and counselor-approved.
- Credit Recovery courses are counselor-identified, then student/family determine how many they are committing to purchase/complete.
- Courses must be registered for, approved, and paid before enrollment (and within the registration window)
- Billing will be sent after courses have been approved by counselors
- Grades will be available before 2024/25 GBHS Orientation
